In Bagh, gas cylinders are an expensive commodity that is not affordable by the majority.
Therefore, wood is burnt for cooking which produces smoke that is harmful for the environment and damages health.
The wood is obtained from cutting down trees, which has resulted in the loss of trees.
HAF runs yearly campaign in which thousands of trees are planted every year. In collaboration with UNDP, HAF have been distributing cooking gas cylinders to save trees and protect the environment.
